10 - 3/4 cup Greek yogurt
11 - 1/2 cucumber, grated and drained
12 - 1 garlic clove, minced
13 - 1 tablespoon olive oil
14 - 1 tablespoon fresh dill, chopped
15 - 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
16 - 1/4 teaspoon salt
17 - Freshly ground black pepper, to taste

→ Wraps

18 - 4 large pita breads
19 - 1 small red onion, thinly sliced
20 - 1 medium tomato, sliced
21 - 1/2 small iceberg lettuce, shredded
22 - 1/4 cup feta cheese, crumbled (optional)

# How To Make It:

01 - Combine olive oil, lemon juice, minced garlic, oregano, cumin, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper in a bowl. Add chicken cubes and toss to coat evenly. Cover and refrigerate for at least one hour.
02 - Mix Greek yogurt, grated and drained cucumber, minced garlic, olive oil, fresh dill, lemon juice, salt, and black pepper in a bowl. Chill until needed.
03 - Thread marinated chicken pieces onto skewers. Preheat grill or grill pan to medium-high heat and grill chicken for 10 to 12 minutes, turning occasionally until golden brown and fully cooked. Remove from heat.
04 - Heat pita breads on the grill for approximately 30 seconds on each side until warm and pliable.
05 - Spread a generous spoonful of tzatziki sauce onto each pita. Layer shredded lettuce, tomato slices, red onion, grilled chicken, and feta cheese if desired. Fold and wrap tightly.
06 - Serve wraps immediately while warm.

# Expert Hints:

01 -
  • The chicken stays impossibly tender because the marinade does the heavy lifting while you do something else.
  • Homemade tzatziki is so much better than store-bought that you'll wonder why you ever bought the bottled kind.
  • You can have dinner ready in 40 minutes if you've marinated ahead, making it perfect for busy nights that don't feel rushed.
  • It's naturally high in protein and feels indulgent without the guilt.
02 -
  • Don't skip the marinating time—the acid in the lemon juice actually tenderizes the chicken, and rushing it will leave you with tougher meat that tastes like a missed opportunity.
  • If you don't have skewers, you can cook the chicken in a grill pan and just turn it every couple of minutes, though the presentation won't be quite as dramatic.
03 -
  • If you don't have a grill, a hot cast-iron skillet works beautifully and actually gives you more control over the crust.
  • Keep your tzatziki cold right up until serving—it's meant to be a cool counterpoint to the warm, grilled chicken.
