A floral citrus refresher with lavender, grape juice, and fresh lemonade. Cooling and vibrant for any occasion.

# What You Need:

→ Lavender Syrup

01 - 1/2 cup water
02 - 1/2 cup granulated sugar
03 - 1 tablespoon dried culinary lavender buds

→ Lemonade Base

04 - 3/4 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice (approximately 4–5 lemons)
05 - 1/4 cup honey or agave syrup
06 - 2 cups cold water

→ Purple Infusion

07 - 1/2 cup 100% pure grape juice
08 - 1/2 cup butterfly pea flower tea, cooled (optional)

→ Garnish

09 - Lemon slices
10 - Fresh lavender sprigs or mint leaves
11 - Ice cubes

# How To Make It:

01 - Combine water, sugar, and dried lavender buds in a small saucepan. Gently simmer, stirring until the sugar fully dissolves. Remove from heat, cover, and steep for 10 minutes. Strain to remove lavender buds and let the syrup cool.
02 - In a pitcher, combine freshly squeezed lemon juice, honey or agave syrup, and cold water. Stir thoroughly to dissolve sweetener.
03 - Add cooled lavender syrup and grape juice to the lemonade base. Stir to incorporate. For enhanced purple color, gently pour in the cooled butterfly pea flower tea and observe the transformation.
04 - Fill glasses with ice cubes. Pour in the refresher, garnish with lemon slices and fresh lavender sprigs or mint leaves, and serve chilled.

# Expert Hints:

01 -
  • The purple hue and floral scent make this a conversation starter for any gathering.
  • It tastes like lemonade with a secret twist, and you can tweak sweetness and color as you wish.
02 -
  • Leaving the lavender to steep too long can create bitterness—ten minutes is just right.
  • Chilling the syrup before mixing prevents diluting the flavors with melting ice.
03 -
  • The syrup keeps well for a week in the fridge—so make extra if you’re planning ahead.
  • Swirl the butterfly pea tea last and serve immediately for the most vibrant color show.
